Supreme court to the rescue of Amrapali Homebuyers

Thursday brought happy news to around 4300 Amrapali homebuyers who have been left midway due to the ongoing insolvency proceedings against the Amarpali group. Supreme Court who had already given an opportunity to the group for completion of its ongoing project passed an order directing the public sector construction company National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) to take up the project.  The said order was passed by the SC without summoning or taking permission from the directors of the group. The court directed NBCC to prepare a comprehensive plan in 30 days on how it will finish the project and directed the group shareholders including co-developers to keep their hands off for the time being.
