It has only been a fortnight since the first hearing of the newly formulated western UP RERA Authority in Noida and it is already trying it best to resolve disputes in the State. It has already heard 300 cases in the matter of incomplete projects and have received more than 3,340 complaints of buyers relating to more than 722 projects in Uttar Pradesh.
Now, the authority is planning to place an adjudication officer as per section-71 of the Real Estate law in order to decide on components of Compensation. The authority taking clues’ from the MAHA RERA authority is further trying to appoint a reconciliation officer in order to facilitate outside court settlements.
UP has two benches – one in Greater Noida and the other in Lucknow. Hearings are being held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesdays have been reserved for interactions with Noida, Greater Noida and other agencies for negotiations. The Greater Noida bench started work on September 4.
